Dr. Behnam Khaleghi was born in Canada and raised in Iran. He attended medical school at Shaheed Beheshti Sciences University in Tehran, Iran. He completed is internship and residency at Saint Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York. Dr. Khaleghi completed his fellowship in Rheumatology at Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey.
Dr. Khaleghi is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Rheumatology. Dr. Khaleghi has also received certification in Bone Densitometry. He is a member of the American Medical Society, American College of Physicians, International Society for Clinical Densitometry and Western Pennsylvania Rheumatology Society.
Dr. Khaleghi specializes in the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and fibromyalgia. He has a special interest in immunotherapy. He has participated in multiple research studies.
Dr. Khaleghi has practiced medicine in Johnstown since 2003. Dr. Khaleghi has hospital privileges at
Conemaugh Memorial and Windber hospitals in the Johnstown area.
Dr. Khaleghi’s interests include sports, music, motorcycles, traveling, cooking, and race cars.
