Dr. Leonardo Amper was born and raised in the Philippines. He went to the University of Santo Tomas College of Science in Manila, Philippines and received his Bachelors of Science degree. He attended medical school at the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Amper completed three years his residency at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital where he was the chief resident. He then completed his internal medicine residency at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown where he also served as chief resident.
Dr. Amper is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, Pennsylvania Medical Society, and Cambria County Medical Society.
Dr. Amper has practiced medicine in Johnstown since 1996. Dr. Amper has hospital privileges at Conemagh Hospital and Select Specialty Hospital in Johnstown.
Dr. Amper is married to Geraldine who is a primary care physician also practicing in Johnstown. Dr. Amper has one child, a daughter that brings a sparkle to his eyes.
